This is our first electronically distributed newsletter sent out to everybody, who gave us their e-mail address. We would like to encourage you to go to the web page and subscribe for the newsletter. In this way you will periodically receive our news and latest developments. The ICSB newsletter is generated in three languages: English, German and Italian. You can enter the appropriate language page and subscribe in any of these languages. If you wish not to receive our newsletters anymore, you can also unsubscribe on the webpage.
Calendar
Another new feature on our webpage is a calendar of all offered programs. You can see the calendar icon (pictured on the left here) on the homepage. Click on it to view all events for the next years. There is detail information and the possibility to register directly for any given course via the web page. You can see the whole program at a glance or choose between different options: Introductions, Foundation or postgraduate trainings, countries or year and month. It is a great new addition to our web page and it will make the search for the training of your choice much easier.
International Affiliation of Biodynamic Trainings (IABT)
The ICSB is a member of the International Affiliation of Biodynamic Trainings, IABT.
IABT is an affiliation of schools, which dedicate themselves to the teaching of comprehensive biodynamic foundation and postgraduate programs.
All schools and institutes of IABT uphold the essential quality of biodynamic principles and support research and development in the biodynamic field. ICSB has been dedicated to craniosacral work since 21 years and we are happy to connect with other schools to continue this mutual journey.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist (BCST)
A 900hrs. BCST diploma is awarded by ICSB as part of its membership with IABT.
The title BCST requires no renewal; once attained, it is permanent.
Every BCST worldwide will be listed on the IABT webpage.
We are issuing new diplomas, free of charge for practitioners of the ICSB Biodynamic Foundation Training, who graduated 2003 or later. To receive the new diploma, you need to send us a written statement (preferably through e-mail) with your full name for the diploma, an update of your address and the date of your certification.
If you graduated before 2003 you can obtain a BCST through a Bridging Program.
Bridging Program A Bridging Program is a training in craniosacral biodynamics for those, who graduated as craniosacral practitioners before 2003 and would like to receive a BCST title. The Bridging Program consists of 375hrs. instead of the 900hrs. of a full Biodynamic Foundation Training.
The 375hrs. of the Bridging Program can be accumulated in the following way: - 200hrs. postgraduate and advanced trainings taken after graduation The postgraduate and advanced courses taken with ICSB or other IABT schools can be counted as hours of the Bridging Program towards the necessary BCST diploma hours. - 25hrs. supervision in a 4 day course (see below) - 50hrs. are accredited for a final written project - 50hrs. of practice sessions with minimal documentation - 50hrs. extensively documented and supervised practice sessions All session are a minimum of 45 min. with no other modalities included.
In individual cases, the applicant might be asked to take a specific training or seminar of ICSB in order to comply with the necessary requirements. The Bridging Program, when successfully completed, gives the practitioner BCST status.
Send us a mail, if you intend to become a BCST through the Bridging Program with the documentation of your biodynamic postgraduate courses. For a BCST acquired through a Bridging Program, a €200.- registration and matriculation fee is applicable. The registration fee is nonrefundable and covers the diploma and the administration cost.
Supervision
4 days clinical supervision and case study course is in planning and will be offered periodically. This course will be part of the Bridging Program and will count towards the BCST title, Advanced Practitioner Diploma ABD (see below) and continuing education. It will be implemented according to registrations and limited to 12 people. Communicate your interest with ICSB and you will be contacted.
Phone and e-mail supervision will also be available. Inquire about time availability and fees.
Advanced Biodynamic Practitioner (ABP) - Advanced Biodynamic Diploma (ABD)
Once you are an official BCST, you can become an Advanced Biodynamic Practitioner by obtaining an
Advanced Biodynamic Diploma.
The following requirements are needed for an ABP Diploma:
- 200hrs. classroom study: participation in continuing education, postgraduate courses or advanced trainings
- 100 documented sessions (45 min. with no other modalities included).
- 25 hrs. of credit given for a written clinical project or a case study
- 25hrs. supervision in a 4 day course
100hrs. credits are counted towards an ABD for assisting a complete Biodynamic Foundation Training.
There is a €350.- registration and matriculation fee for an ABD. The registration fee is nonrefundable and covers the diploma and the administration cost.
The intention of an Advanced Biodynamic Practitioner program is to provide ongoing update, supervision and support for practitioners in the field of Craniosacral Biodynamics.
Retrospection

Foundation Trainings
New Foundation Trainings started in Japan, Italy, India, Czech Republic and Switzerland. In 2008 we will start Foundation Trainings in Canada, Japan, Italy and Switzerland. It is our joy and privilege to introduce new students to the art of Craniosacral Biodynamics
and support them to integrate the principles into daily life.
Postgraduate Trainings
In 2007 we presented postgraduate and advanced trainings in Switzerland, Japan and Spain.
Every time we immerse ourselves in the work with a group of dedicated practitioners, a wonderful and healing space opens up. Teachers and practitioners alike bring the richness of their life experiences to the postgraduate trainings. The themes of the trainings are diverse and manyfold, the depth of the shared work is touching and illuminating.
Often, sitting in the trainings, the sense of stillness is prevalent, all-permeating and deeply soothing and settling to therapists and clients alike. It is a blessing to have this opportunity in our daily life. There is a longing for inner stillness in these times of fast paced and sometimes frantic lives. Biodynamic trainings as much as individual sessions are creating these moments of rest and reconnection with oneself. People report their experiences of the study programs as resourcing and healing but also inspiring and enriching. Check out the calendar on the webpage!

Upcoming events
Diamond Logos Teachings - psychology of the essential realm
This series of courses brings forth the essential dimensions and potential of our nature. We have been teaching the essential qualities of the white, red, black and green Latifa and in March 17 - 20, 08 we will open to the yellow Latifa. It is known as the Latifa of Joy. This subtle dimension of being is like an inner sun shining and lets us connect with the innate capacity to live in lightness, delight and curiosity. It is a place where old self-images can be examined and explored through inquiry processes and light-hearted innocence is regained.
Advanced Training
The Advanced Trainings are dedicated to the newest research and development in Craniosacral Biodynamics. These longer postgraduate courses allow us to layer the teachings carefully, to experience the profound healing potential and explore clinical applications, in which biodynamic work shines. Next date: March 24 - 30, 08
Craniosacral pediatrics When we first advertised this new series of 4 week-long courses and it was booked out within a month. We look forward to start this new pediatric training with 30 people, who are enthusiastic to be part of this pilot project. We expect to start the next series in 2010.
Pre- and perinatal process workshops (PW)
We will offer two PW in August 2008 our house in Italy. Each workshop is limited to 7 people. Most of the places are already taken. However it is possible that something will open up again. Please inquire, if you are really interested. We will continue to offer these profoundly repairing and repatterning workshops in 2009.
It is important to understand English.
Form and Function
The guiding principle of this program is "the interdependence between form and function" (Dr. A. T. Still). We will study the anatomy and biomechanics of structures to recognize their functional relationships and the action of the biodynamic forces. The expression of the vitality within a structure and its relationships will allows us to deepen our understanding and to utilize the principles of Craniosacral Biodynamics for restoration and maintenance of health. Date: 15. - 17. Aug. 08, Italy.
Practitioner Registrations
If you are already registered for our practitioner referral, the renewal for the registrations will be sent out as personal invitations and via regular mail. If you have graduated and you would like to be listed in the practitioner registry and have not received an invitation, please contact us.
Personal Information
Bhadrena is thanking everybody for the support during her operation and convalescence, the many good wishes and thoughts.
She recovered well, although it did take a bit longer than estimated.
Kavi is continuing his osteopathic studies. Many people ask him, why he does it, since he is a craniosacral teacher for 15 years. His words: “Lineage is important to me. I bow down to the people who dedicated their life to the development of the work, as we know it today. Continuous education as teachers helps us expand the understanding and will benefit the students. In addition I’m fortunate to have James Jealous, DO, as my mentor in biodynamics, which is very precious to me, personally and professionally.”
