What happened in 2008
2008 was a very active year for the ICSB and us. Here is an overview:
At one point in 2008 the ICSB was holding 11 craniosacral biodynamics foundation trainings in 6 different
countries, in 4 different continents, following the progress of close to 200 students worldwide, teaching,
tracking and assessing, helping them to fulfill all the requirements for graduation.
Foundation trainings go over 2-3 years and were held in the following countries:
2 in Switzerland
4 in Italy
2 in Japan
1 in Canada
1 in Czech Republic
1 in India
In the training in India 19 nationalities were represented, all continents, east and west, north and south, down
under and far east.
There were 4 Cranio Babies, born during their mom’s foundation training. Mom and baby continued together
to be immersed in the field, sometimes kangarooing the baby, while practicing
By the time you receive this letter the participants of 4 of these foundation trainings will have graduated and
received their BCST diploma, so that in Switzerland, Italy and India new BCSTs are entering the professional
field of craniosacral biodynamics.
In addition to the necessary requirements and exams they all completed wonderfully written and creative
projects (a small thesis) and presented them with enthusiasm and dedication.
Some of these projects can be seen on our webpage: www.icsb.ch. You’ll find the English projects on the English page, the German in the German section and the Italian ones
on the Italian page under resources/for practitioners. As a practitioner you will
have the password to access this internal section or will receive it again with
the yearly practitioner registration via regular mail.
And for people, who have completed the program and are registered on the
ICSB webpage: the title BCST will now show behind your name in the practitioner
list.

|
Some people are completing their Bridging Program.
Some are working towards an advanced diploma.
We encourage everybody with a BCST to look into the option of acquiring
an advanced diploma. It reAlects the time and love you put into this work
and honors you in your profession. You can Aind the details in last year’s
newsletter, still available from the webpage. |
Previews
Our love in the work is oriented towards supporting the human being in expressing its full potential. Our expertise
in craniosacral biodynamics, pre- and perinatal therapy, trauma resolution and the essential work of
the Diamond Logos teachings is aiming at that purpose.
We are currently working on a new webpage, which will embrace the different areas of our work under the
name: www.essential-being.org
We will send out an announcement once the site will be launched.
Postgraduate Program
Presently we are designing a stream of trainings for western Australia, culminating in process workshops for
personal exploration of early imprints.
For all our programs check out the calendar on the webpage www.icsb.ch
Click on the image of the calendar on the home page. You can choose “foundation trainings” or “postgraduate
courses”, the “year” or the “country” to make your selection.
Craniosacral pediatrics |

 |
Our pilot course in the pediatric series in Switzerland
is half way completed. We will come to
an end this year. It is delightful to observe how
the principles of CSB and pre- and perinatal therapy
merge into a whole new gestalt – the study is
precious and enriching, transformative and of
clinical relevance.
A new series of pediatric courses will probably
start in 2011.
We are still planning a series of courses in English
as well, either in Spain or Italy.
We will keep you posted. |

Pre- and perinatal process workshops (PW) |
| |
The process workshops 2008 in Italy were booked out as well as the ones in 2009 in Switzerland.
PWs in Australia are wait listed because of the high interest.
The PW facilitates a personal exploration and repair of preverbal experiences, which influence our life today.
The format of the small group of 7-8 people in a safe setting allows time and space to explore individual
process.
A “womb-surround” environment is created, where early imprints can be looked at with support, guidance
and in safety. When a person feels heard and welcomed, patterns can shift, repairs can happen and relating
becomes easier.
In addition to offering support for the resolution of prenatal, birth and early trauma, this process has the main
intention of encouraging loving bonding within primary relationships. Participants commonly state that the
process is transformational on a deep level. They report that the relationship with their environment and beloved
ones gains a new quality. They experience more joy in life, more calmness and steadiness, a better
ability to connect and, if necessary, to disengage with more ease. |

| Testimonials |
“After the PW I was captured by a higher love for everything that exists. I will never forget this connectedness, it resides
in my inner core, in my heart and nothing can lessen or harm it.“ K.M., craniosacral therapist, Switzerland
|
| |
 |
“The PW experience was fundamental for me. The quality of my rapport with others, therefore also with patients,
deepened. In myself the process of rebirth-restructuring-awakening-opening reflects in the meetings with others in
daily life.” M. M., Shiatsu and craniosacral therapist, Italy
„The PW brought me closer to my core and gave me a new direction in
life.” P.I.G, craniosacral therapist, father, UK
“I am more settled emotionally and it opened a doorway for relating.“
N.S,G. translator, Mexico
„ I experienced pieces coming into place and making sense. My exploration
let me sense continuation rather than fragmentation and dissociation. I experienced
space and time before words were present“. H.H., teacher, Switzerland |
| |
„I never felt so safe, held, supported and learned so much about early imprints
in a non-traumatic way as in this PW. It gave me the opportunity to
re-pattern and re-learn new ways, develop options and clear some confusion,
so that the usual, automatic patterns, which prevent me from relating
in a healthy way can actually dissolve or have at least less grip on me. It
felt like a training for life, for being more of myself in my daily life, with joy
and new zest for life. Even my menstruation is back on track.” M.W.B., psychotherapist,
Germany Something on a deep basic human level can heal. As if I also adjust and
heal something way, way back on the level of my ancestors. And I can therefore
claim my natural dignity back, the very simple, natural right to be human. “ S.S.M, therapist, Italy. |

Form and Function
The guiding principle of this program is "the interdependence
between form and function" (Dr. A. T. Still).
We will study the anatomy and biomechanics of structures to
recognize their functional relationships and the action of the biodynamic
forces.
The expression of vitality within a structure and its relationships
to other structures will deepen the understanding of anatomy and
physiology. The principles of Craniosacral Biodynamics will be
applied for restoration and maintenance of health.
Kavi brings his osteopathic experience and the knowledge of
morphology into this course. His understanding of working with
people and the capacity to integrate different approaches adds to
the depth of the subject.
One course in Italy took place last summer. We had fun cooking
together in an old Tuscan farmhouse, then going back to the tables
for more explorations of the sacrum and pelvis.
The next Form and Function will be held in Switzerland:
“The pelvis and sacrum” March 16 - 18, 09

The fluid body - the drop that knows the ocean
This course is part of a series. Each course intends to expand
awareness of the different levels of consciousness.
For each level of consciousness we open our perception to its
clinical implications, healing properties and potential.
As the fluid body shifts to a neutral, it becomes transparent to the
forces of health, to their manifestation and wholeness.
Switzerland, June 29 - July 2, 09

Attachment and Early Foundations
From early imprints, which shape our way of relating and meeting the world, to our Essential Self.
The term “attachment” describes the deep and enduring connection established between a child and parent or
significant caregiver from the moment of conception,
through pregnancy, birth and after birth.
These early moments of connection shape the way a person
learns to enter into contact. They form the glue, which allows
the new human being to connect with spirit, Self and
the other.
The format of the course will be in lectures, sharing of information,
inspirational images and movies, guided group
exercises, demonstrations, questions and answers and practice.
The practice will draw from biodynamic principles and interconnected
fields.
Spain, July 17 – 21, 2009

Personal Information
We are touched by the grace of the Breath of Life as the work continues to unfold.
2008 and, according to statistics 2009, seem to be financially challenging years. Since we all might need to
tighten our belts a bit more, it is a good opportunity to become internally wider and more expansive with our
mind and heart. In India we always sense our mind relaxing, worries go to the background, problems will be
solved tomorrow, baba…. This ancient country with its people, its troubles and wonders teach us that centuries
pass, civilizations culminate into new heights to only disappear again into dust. The impermanency lets
us reconnect with the eternity of the Breath of Life and its creative forces with a yet again deepened appreciation.
Kavi is entering his last year of osteopathic studies. The
osteopathic college and the meetings and studies with
James Jealous are an inspiration to him. Besides working
full time he is also studying full time. How does he do it?
Will, perseverance, determination and a tremendous love
for the work are the qualities, which seem to give him the
steadfastness in this whole process of becoming a DO.
Bhadrena on the other hand, had the opportunity to scientifically
and experientially study the effects of surgeries
and anesthetics. A ruptured meniscus and a perforated appendix
added to her learnings: “how to make it through
hospital procedures in a resourced way”.
Bhadrena spent 10 days in general hospital in Squamish. The big rock, which dominates this small town
north of Vancouver in Canada, will forever be present within her. The view out of the window was fantastic.
She also experienced first-hand that the principles of biodynamics apply beautifully to those situations, especially
during stress.
Before a surgery, with the heartbeat beeping in the background, she could witness, how the heart slowed
down to a regular, steady, slow beat, when connecting to the stillness of the embryonic heart fulcrum.
We are working on some papers for pre-op preparation and post-op care, which we will share with you as
soon as they are completed. It certainly is an interesting subject.
To complete this newsletter we would like to send you an inspiring poem that was shared with us during one
of the presentations of a final project for graduation. A few people explored philosophical, spiritual themes
connected to biodynamics, putting the principles into context of old traditions and mediation. The Breath
within the Breath, the primary respiration, is the one aspect of our work, which binds us to the eternal source
and supports the reconnection to our clear, luminous nature, the still, empty space, the wisdom and the soft
compassionate heart.
Greetings, good health and much love,
Kavi and Bhadrena
The Breath inside the Breath
“Are you looking for me?
I am in the next seat.
My shoulder is against yours.
You will not find me in the stupas,
not in the indan shrines,
nor in synagogues,
nor in cathedrals,
not in masses,
nor kirtans.
Not in the legs winding around your neck,
nor in eating nothing but vegetables.
When you really look for me,
you will see me instantly.
you will find me in the tiniest house of time,
Kabir says: Student, tell me what is God?
He is the breath inside the breath.”
Kabir
